We can safely say that this year’s Bike Experience was a success! More than 400 participants joined us to overcome their fear of traffic and learn how to safely ride a bike in the city. Following these meetings, around twenty participants paired up to brave the road with our Bike Experience coaches and increase their knowledge of Brussels’ urban traffic.
We also organised no less than 13 meetings at ViaVia Café in 2019 - a perfect spot thanks to its friendly atmosphere and ideal location in the heart of Brussels. During these Bike Tasting conferences, we introduced you to the specific aspects of electric bikes or e-bikes. Local bike shops, including Ahooga and Bike your city, came along to introduce their brands.
We took our first steps in business, providing our expertise to the motivated employees of Auderghem council, Epsylon, Visit.brussels, Elia, the National Lottery and Comensia.
Finally, we were available at several events in Brussels throughout the year to answer all your bike-related questions. Highlights were the Environment Festival, the launch of 100 days of the Tour de France on the Place de Brouckère, the Mobility Village of the European Commission and Bucolic Brussels on the Place des Palais.
Bike Experience - a roaring success?
Definitely! This is mainly thanks to the grant we have received from Brussels Mobility every year for the past 10 years.
But we also have to mention the great collaboration with our host, ViaVia Café at the Place Sainte Catherine. And of course YOU, who have helped us decongest our city by taking part.
